Reno Police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Wednesday night.

Police say an unidentified woman was in a crosswalk when she was hit by a mini-van going south on North Virginia Street at Talus Way around 8 p.m.

She was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center where she is in critical condition at this time.

Police say speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factor at this time. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
