Woman Sentenced in Toddler Methadone Death Case

42-year-old Gina Lindquist was sentenced Thursday to 3 to 7.5 years in prison for child neglect causing death.

In June, Lindquist pleaded guilty to four-year-old Sammy Sharber's death while she was babysitting him.

She told detectives she left her methadone medication on a motel room table and when she woke up she found the boy unconscious.

He died from methadone poisoning in January 2009.

The former Reno resident was arrested last November in Las Vegas.
