State officials say Nevada casino revenues are down 3.1% in August compared with the same time a year ago.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board reports casinos won $859 million in August.
Southern Nevada numbers mostly dropped, with Las Vegas Strip casinos bringing in $491 million in August. That's down 1.2% from a year earlier.
Downtown Las Vegas revenues of $36 million were down 8.4%, while Boulder Strip revenues of $56 million were down 17.7%.
Washoe County winnings of $68 million were up 5%, while south Lake Tahoe winnings of $22 million were down 19.5%.
The state of Nevada collected nearly $50 million in taxes based on the August winnings. That's up 5.2% from a year ago.
