Golf Tournament On Friday To Help Troubled Men

Posted: Updated:

This Friday, you can hit the links at Lakeridge Golf Course, while helping troubled men get their lives on track.

It's part of the Gift of Hope Golf Challenge. For $125 per golfer or $500 a team, participants can take part in a scramble format, shotgun start tournament. There will also be drinks and a dinner buffet.

It includes a hole-in-one challenge with the chance to win a trip for two to play golf at the famous Pebble Beach Golf Links. There will also be a putting challenge for a chance to win $5,000, along with a long-drive competition. Registration opens at noon on Friday, with a 1:15 p.m. shotgun start.

Registration can be completed online by October 8th.

The proceeds benefit the local organization known as Step 1, which provides support and transitional housing for men who have been diagnosed with a substance use disorder and look to re-enter society as self-sufficient, responsible citizens.
