Tampa, FL (PRWEB) October 08, 2012
PointClickCare, the most widely-used Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform for long-term care, today announced at the American Health Care Association (AHCA) Annual Convention that it has completed its acquisition of Accu-Med Technology Solutions (Accu-Med Services, LLC), provider of integrated information solutions for healthcare and wellness providers of the elderly and wholly owned subsidiary of Omnicare, Inc.
Accu-Med delivers integrated financial and clinical software solutions for long-term care providers. In addition to their core clinical and financial applications, Accu-Med provides therapy management software to contract therapy organizations serving long-term care and an MDS-based quality, outcomes and performance measurement system.
“As PointClickCare and Accu-Med are both in the business of improving quality of care and driving superior financial performance for long-term care providers, the synergies between our two companies made this acquisition opportunity very compelling,” said Mike Wessinger, CEO of PointClickCare. "We are excited to have Accu-Med join the PointClickCare family and look forward to continuing to deliver the best-in-class products, supported by proven best practices in services and support, that have been the backbone of our growth and success.”
