'Salute and Support' Veterans Guest House Through Dec. 8

Salute and Support is the theme for the Veterans Guest House fall fundraising effort, running through Saturday, Dec. 8. With the purchase of a $100 raffle ticket, donors will get a chance to win either a $7,500 grand prize or one of five $500 prizes. Only 500 tickets will be sold to improve your odds of winning.

All proceeds from purchasing raffle tickets go toward the Guest House, which provides temporary housing for veterans and their families while undergoing medical treatment in the Reno/Sparks area.

Raffle tickets are available at The Flag Story, PJ & Company, L'uva Bella Wine Gallery, DigiPrint and the Veterans Guest House. The winning tickets will be drawn during the Army vs. Navy football game party on Saturday, Dec. 8 at Duffy's Ale House at the Reno Aces Ballpark. Winner need not be present.

It costs around $300,000 per year to operate the Guest House, which provides temporary housing for veterans and their families when a veteran is undergoing medical treatment in the Reno/Sparks area. The Guest House is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation; all donations are tax-deductible.

For more information on the Veterans Guest House and to purchase raffle tickets, call (775) 324-6958 or visit www.veteransguesthouse.org.
