A small earthquake was registered Wednesday between Reno and Pyramid Lake but there were no reports of any injuries or damage.
The 3.8-magnitude quake hit about 12:51 p.m. about 25 miles northeast of Reno.
The U.S. Geological Survey says it was centered in the Pah Rah Range about 10 miles northwest of Wadsworth and 8 miles southwest of Nixon. That's about 14 miles northeast of Spanish Springs.
Ralph Burns, who works for Nixon, told the Reno Gazette-Journal that nobody there felt the temblor.
