A standoff in Sparks that put Drake Elementary school on code yellow lockdown has ended peacefully.
Just before 10:30am Wednesday police responded to a home on Galleron Way after neighbors reported hearing a gunshot from inside the home.
SWAT teams surrounded the home and negotiators contacted the people inside.
A woman came out first and told police her adult son was still inside.
After a few more hours police got him to come out peacefully.
Police searched the home and did not find any evidence a gun was fired.

Billinghurst Middle School in Reno was also locked down as a precaution today so police could search for a suspicious person who was reportedly nearby.
However, that turned out to be a child in a Halloween costume.
Again -- no one was hurt in either incident.
