
Truckee Meadows Community College is helping unemployed Nevadans increase their jobs skills so they can get hired again.
The Maxine S. Jacobs Foundation Presidential Scholarship will pay for the cost of training to increase job readiness skills in a variety of college programs.
To qualify applicants:
Accounting and bookkeeping
Allied health programs: CNA, dental assisting, clinical laboratory specialist (phlebotomy)
Business and administrative professionals
Computer science and information technology Digital, graphic, and web design
Industrial systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
Logistics and distribution
Manufacturing and machining
Renewable energy technicians
Transportation technicians
Welding
If you meet the eligibility requirements, you may qualify for a one-year scholarship.
The application deadline is January 11, 2013.
