A local elementary school principal has been put on administrative leave.
The Washoe County School District says Andrew Stansberry of Moss Elementary School was put on leave because he didn't let the district know about embezzlement charges filed against him while working at a school in Michigan.
From 2007 to 2009, Stansberry reportedly took $26,000 from the school. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and ordered to repay the money.
Stansberry was hired at Moss Elementary last year.
