Young Girl Battling Brain Tumor Gets Star Treatment At Legends

Posted: Updated:

A brave Sparks girl battling a brain tumor had her wish granted Saturday: a day of shopping.

The Make A Wish Foundation worked with the Legends at Sparks Marina to give 12-year old Kourtney Lindsey the star treatment.

She arrived at the Legends in a limo with her mother and friend, and first received a computer from Best Buy. She then received a red carpet welcome outside the Bath And Body Works store at the Outlets at Legends.

Kourtney told Channel 2 News how much it meant to her that she was able to do this.

"Awesome," she said. "Awesome. Really nice of them."

Kourtney then visited several different stores and restaurants (Oshkosh, Grimaldi's, Freshberry, Nike, Sketchers) who offered free items and services, including gift cards and food. Hello Kitty even offered her a fashion consultation inside the Sanrio store.
