Posted: Updated:

A man is behind bars after Washoe County School Police say he showed up to a school fundraiser with a gun.

Dozens of families were in the middle of a movie night at Cold Springs Middle School on Cody Court, several miles northwest of the Reno/Sparks area.

The Chief of Washoe County School Police tells us about halfway through the movie, a man walked up to the gate and told organizers there, they should shut down the event.

Chief Mike Mieras says the man then lifted his shirt, showing a holster with a firearm.

Organizers shut down the fundraiser and escorted nearly 200 people out of the area.

Police have arrested 56-year old Lucky Kneese. He's charged with disturbing a school, possessing a weapon on school property and using a weapon in a threatening manner.
