The 5th Annual Northern Nevada SWAT Challenge brought teams together on Friday.
Teams of three competed over a five-mile course with 21 stations that tests skills with weapons, mental puzzles and physical strength.
"We develop this to bring all the SWAT teams in the area together to build camaraderie and to help expose the teams to each other," explained Sgt. Marc Bello, a team leader with the Washoe County Sheriff's Office SWAT team. "That way, in a real-life situation, when we come together in a multi-agency situation, we will be prepared to handle that."
The competition is all for bragging rights, with the winning team receiving a Spartan Shield.
No word yet on which team won this year.
