New voter registration numbers from Clark County show Democrats making huge gains over Republicans in the weeks leading up to the November election.
New tallies Monday from the Clark County Election Department show Democrats in the state's most populous county now outnumber GOP registered voters by nearly 103,000.
Given those additions, Democrats statewide have about 65,000 more active registered voters than Republicans.
Clark County updates its registration numbers weekly. The secretary of state's office will issue updated, statewide registration numbers in early October.
Washoe County has a total of 227,430 registered voters with registered Republicans outnumbering registered Democrats by about just 3,500 votes right now.
Nevadans can register to vote online or by mail through Oct. 7. After that, they have until Oct. 16 to register in person to be eligible to vote in the Nov. 6 general election.
