One lucky blood donor won a brand new Toyota Corolla from United Blood Services on Monday.
This year's "Driving for Donors" winner Matthew Frazer has given blood 91 times and even meets the requirements to donate for babies.
"It's just something that you're lucky enough to be able to do. But, truly, now that it's for babies of less than six months old, it really makes it rewarding," says Frazer.
This is the sixth year of the giveaway.
It's a little incentive to keep donations rolling through busy months. "It helps immensely in having enough donors during the difficult summer months when people are travelling, high schools are out for the summer...possible an increase in elective surgeriges, et cetera," says donor recruitment Steve Thomas.
United Blood Services of Reno needs about 150 daily donations just to meet the need for transfusions.
