Firefighters say the Carter Springs Fire near Gardnerville is now fully contained.
The 3,454 acre brush fire started Friday afternoon on private property and remains under investigation by the Douglas County Investigator.
It's burned mostly unburned areas within the fire perimeter on predominently BLM lands in the southern Pine Nut Mountains.
No structures were damaged.
U.S. Highway 395 remains open in both directions with no controls. Motorists are advised to slow down through the fire area and watch for emergency equipment on the highway.
