Local Haunted House Gets Ready for Halloween - KTVN Channel 2 - Reno Tahoe News Weather, Video -

Halloween is still more than a month away but the creative folks behind "Slaughter House" a massive haunted house have already taken over part of Meadowood Mall.

Owner Eli Kerr, says they still have a lot of work to do in just a two week time period. Sunday night, more than 150 people started building the seventh annual "Slaughter House."

Kerr says, surprise is definitely a priority and this year they have a lot of new things to help them achieve that. Including a completely new layout of the haunted house.

The Slaughter House gives back to the community by donating to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada and the haunt will begin starting October 11th
