Wounded Warrior Program Stops in Reno

Posted: Updated:

You may have seen a caravan of Ford Mustangs on the roads on Friday. One of them was decorated in support of wounded warriors and their families.

The Wounded Warrior Family Support Program has been traveling across the lower 48 states. We caught up with the organizer on Terminal Way.

He tells us everyone is invited to sign a message on the Mustang for the wounded warriors and their families. All you have to do is make a small donation; something John Folsom says is crucial to supporting those families.

"What we want to do is make sure families stay together and give them the resources to rebuild the relations strained by multiple deployments and wounds," explains Folsom, who is the founder of Wounded Warrior Family Support.

All the money raised will go toward building homes for severely wounded veterans and their families.

The program raised $100,000 while traveling on the east coast, and Folsom hope they raise $100,000 more in the west.
