The General Manager for KUNR, the local National Public Radio Station, says its main antenna has been replaced.
The station experienced an outage back on August 16th. It had to broadcast on much lower power on a temporary antenna for weeks before it was recently replaced. It's now operating at a full 20,000 watts of power.
However, the work has caused KUNR to take a hit financially with the process costing more than $50,000 for the antenna (plus a new transmitter, cable and components, structural design, engineering, shipping, tower climbers, tower reinforcement and related installation work.)
So, they're now asking for your help.
