Police Investigate Early Morning Shooting

Reno Police are investigating an overnight shooting. Just after two this morning police responded to calls of car windows being broken out and possible gunshots in the area of Matich Way in Reno.

Police say afterwards, another vehicle arrived in the area and fired two shots at the victims, striking their car and the passenger.

Shortly after police were flagged down near Moana Lane and I-580.

Officers tell us they found the victim shot with two bird shot pellets - one in the forehead and a second in the hand.

She was eventually transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
