One Killed In Single-Vehicle Accident In Douglas County

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident in Douglas County early Sunday morning.

Troopers say the accident happened around 4:30 a.m. on U.S. 395 near Lucerne Street in the Minden area.

Investigators are still trying to gather details at this time, but they say the driver of a white Jeep died in a single-vehicle collision. The driver's identity has not been released.

Troopers believe alcohol may have been a factor.

The road was shut down in the area for about an hour and a half while crews cleaned up the accident.
