The Nevada Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal accident in Douglas County late Saturday night.
Troopers say it happened around 11:45 p.m. on U.S. 395 in the Holbrook Junction area. Investigators say a Chevrolet hatchback and a Nissan were involved in a head-on collision.
Troopers do not have exact details at this time, but say three people were inside the vehicles at the time of the crash. One of them was ejected. All three occupants of the vehicles died. Their names have not been released.
Troopers say they believe alcohol and reckless speeds of 100+ MPH were a factor in the collision.
Troopers say the north and southbound lanes were shut down for four hours while crews cleaned up the accident.
