On November 18, 2011, the Caughlin Fire burned approximately 24 acres of Bartley Ranch Regional Park. Restoration efforts have been underway since the devastating fire with many individuals and organizations graciously helping to rebuild many of the bridges, fences and trails. The proceeds from this concert will help provide Washoe County Parks with the necessary funding to continue the revegetation of the area. This popular portion of the park has been closed for restoration since the fire and establishing native vegetation is vital to its re-opening.
Bartley Ranch Regional Park is managed by Washoe County's Department of Regional Parks and Open Space. The Department's mission is to provide exceptional parks and open space, and recreational opportunities while preserving our natural, historical and cultural resources.
