Sacramento's Daric Barton led-off the 10th inning with a solo home run that pushed the River Cats to a 4-3 victory over Reno Saturday at Aces Ballpark, forcing a decisive Game 5 on Sunday afternoon.
With the series knotted at two games apiece, Reno and Sacramento will meet in a win or go home finale on Sunday afternoon at Aces Ballpark. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. PT.
Blake Lalli hit a three-run homer in the third inning that gave the River Cats and early lead Saturday night, but the Aces would claw back. Reno scored two in the fourth on run-scoring singles for Mike Jacobs and Brent Clevlen, then tied it up in the seventh on an RBI ground ball by A.J. Pollock.
The game remained tied at 3-3 until the 10th, when Barton put Sacramento ahead for good with a solo shot off Jonathan Albaladejo.
Jeremy Accardo (1-0) earned the win out of the River Cats bullpen after working 3.0 scoreless innings. Albaladejo (0-1) took the loss.
Josh Bell led the Aces at the plate with three hits, including a double. Tyler Bortnick added a pair of singles in an eight-hit Aces effort.
The decisive Game 5 is set for 1:05 p.m. Sunday at Aces Ballpark. Reno will send RHP Brett Tomko to the mound, while the River Cats will counter with RHP Sonny Gray.
