Sunday, September 9th almost 4,000 National Guard officers from across the country will descend on Reno for their annual conference.
"It's where we come together to set our legislative agenda and what we want to educate Congress about for the next year," retired Major General Gus Hargett explained to us Thursday.
The National Guard Association of the United States Annual Conference and Exhibition will be held at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center this year.
Attendees will get to check out hundreds of exhibits and hear from speakers about the future challenges the National Guard faces.
The convention isn't open to the public but should generate almost $12 million for the local economy.
