Memoir Featuring Bin Laden Raid Causing Controversy
A highly-anticipated memoir of a Navy Seal who helped kill Osama Bin Laden hit bookshelves Tuesday.
"No Easy Day" was written under the pseudonym Mark Owen by one of the members of Navy Seal Team Six.
But the Pentagon says it contains sensitive information and should have been vetted by Pentagon commanders before it was published.
"To me it is quite incredible that someone vested with preserving our nations secrets, particularly in very sensitive missions didn't think to have this reviewed," Pentagon Press Secretary George Little said.
Scott Pelley sat down with the book's author for an interview to air this weekend. You can see the entire interview on 60 Minutes Sunday, September 9th at 7pm.
