The Douglas County Sheriff's Office have three people behind bars for their alleged roles in two recent residential burglaries.
Deputies say the incidents happened on Wildrose Drive in the Minden area between Sunday, August 19th and Thursday, August 23rd.
Through an extensive investigation, deputies say detectives in the case were able to tie the suspects to an estimated $40,000 in stolen property that has since been recovered.
30-year old Justin Turek of Minden is in the Douglas County Jail charged with possession of stolen property and two counts of possession of a stolen firearm. His bail is set at $50,000.
His girlfriend, 30-year old Melanie Gurule (also known as: Melanie Anelo) of Reno, is in the Washoe County Jail on charges stemming from the pawning of the property believed to have been stolen in the burglaries. She's charged with burglary, possession of stolen property and obtaining money by false pretenses. Her bail is set at $30,500.
Deputies say an associate of Turek and Gurule, 28-year old Ryan Hiltz of Gardnerville, is also believed to have been involved in the burglaries. They say he's charged with possession of stolen property, being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of possession of a stolen firearm. His bail is set at $50,000, cash only.
Deputies say the investigation is on-going to determine each of the suspects' individual involvement in the burglaries.
