Neftali Adame - Passenger
Jamie Agundez - Driver
Reno Police have two people behind bars after a report of multiple shots being fired Saturday afternoon.
Police responded to the 1600 block of Wedekind Road around 4 p.m. When officers arrived on scene, witnesses told them a blue Suburban driven by a woman with a male passenger was going westbound on Wedekind from Sutro Street when three shots were fired into the air by the passenger.
Police say the vehicle turned around on Wedekind and then the passenger fired four more shots into the air. No one was injured and no damages to property were reported.
Later, police say they found a vehicle matching the description of the Suburban at 6th Street and Wells Avenue.
Police stopped the vehicle and found the passenger, 33-year old Neftali Adame, to be extremely intoxicated and in possession of an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. The driver, 41-year old Jamie Agundez was also under the influence of alcohol. Police say a gun was recovered from inside the vehicle. They say its serial number was destroyed. The two were then taken into custody.
Adame is charged with discharge of a firearm in a congested area, discharge of a firearm from a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number and possession of an open container in a motor vehicle. Agundez is charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol.
