Nevada's new unemployment numbers for July were released this morning.
Nevada's unemployment rate for July rose .4% to an even 12%
Breaking that down--- in the Reno/Sparks area the number went up from 11.7% to 12% that is up .3% but still down 1.3% from this time last year
Carson City's unemployment went up half a percent from 11.7% to 12.2%
And in Elko it went up from 6.3% to 6.7%
According to the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, 163,700 people are out of work in the state.
Las Vegas has the highest unemployment rate of the state metro areas at 12.9%.
The national unemployment rate is at 8.3%
