A man from Iowa who's biking across the country to raise awareness about Parkinson's -- stopped in Reno Thursday.
"I've always been an avid biker so bicycling's always been important to me and also bicycling's been proven to stave off a lot of the Parkinson's disease symptoms."
Rich Mills was diagnosed with Parkinson's himself in 2009.
He just started his cross-country ride July 31st.
Here in the Biggest Little City he met with Parkinson's patients at Five Star Premier Residences and Wednesday he made a stop in Carson City.
He said his goal is to inspire those who care for Parkinson's patients.
"What I want to do is give a little encouragement to the care providers. Because those people had a choice. They didn't have to stick around, but they did. And they're taking care of these people with Parkinson's."
Mills plans to finish up his ride to D.C. in October.
