Washoe Valley Suspect Surrenders at Davis Creek Park
Washoe County deputies say an armed suspect believed to be involved in a domestic dispute has turned himself in to authorities.
Deputies say 53-year-old Michael Paszek surrendered at Davis Creek Park just before 10am on Monday after about an hour of phone contact with officers.
Pasnez was booked into the Washoe County Jail on $10,500 bail. He's charged with one misdemeanor count of Domestic Battery, one gross misdemeanor count of false imprisonment, and one misdemeanor count of violating an extended protective order.
Paszek was wanted for one count of domestic battery and one count of false imprisonment.
Deputies say Paszek argued with his wife at a home on Winters Creek Road around 6:30 Sunday night, when he allegedly beat her. They say he then pulled out a hand gun and fired shots at her. She was reportedly not injured. She ran to an area fire station for help.
Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers, along with a SWAT team and a RAVEN helicopter assisted in the following search. They also evacuated Davis Creek Campground as a precaution, but have since reopened the park to campers.
