Governor Hosting Press Conference on Current Wildfires - KTVN Channel 2 - Reno Tahoe News Weather, Video -

Governor Brian Sandoval will be making a stop in Elko around 12:30pm Sunday to tour the wildfires burning there. While he's there, the Governor will also get a briefing from fire officials.

After that stop, the Governor is coming to Carson City around 2pm. At that event, he'll talk to the media about the fires still burning across the state. We'll have a crew at that press conference and bring you all the latest on Channel 2 News at 5.

The Governor's Office says 186 fires have sparked by lightning in Nevada in the last week. Those fires have burned about 252,000 acres and 15 large, uncontained fires continue to burn.
