The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a hit and run accident, involving a bicyclist Saturday.

Troopers say it happened on Mount Rose Highway, near Golfers Pass Road. Witnesses say an SUV with a California license plate was traveling west on the highway.

Troopers say the driver veered right, crossed the fog line, struck the cyclist and did not stop to check on her. The bicyclist from Wyoming was taken to Incline Village Community Hospital and was later released with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses say the SUV was blue or silver in color. It had a left brake light that did not work, along with a red sticker on the rear window.

If you have any information, you're being asked to call the Nevada Highway Patrol at (775) 687-0400 regarding case # NHP 120811440.
