Local Olympian To Receive Fernley's Key To The City

Olympian Jake Dalton will receive Fernley's first key to the city next week.

Dalton competed with the U.S. Men's Gymnastics Team in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.

He will receive the key from Fernley Mayor LeRoy Goodman at the upcoming city council meeting on Wednesday, August 15th.

Mayor Goodman says Dalton is the city's first Olympian. City officials say he is a third generation Fernley resident who was born and raised there before moving to Sparks to pursue his gymnastics career.
