Reno Police Make Arrest in Toddler's Death

Reno Police have arrested a man accused of murdering a toddler Wednesday morning.

Medical crews responded to the 3200 block of Lakeside Drive on a report of a 19-month-old child not breathing. The child was taken to the hospital, but later died.

Detectives on scene learned the mother of the child went to work that morning and they tell us her boyfriend, Donald Jackson was left to care for the child.

Police arrested Jackson the next morning after an autopsy showed the child received multiple internal injuries from blunt force trauma. Jackson is being held at the Washoe County Jail on an open murder charge.
