State officials say Nevada casino revenue dropped 6% in the month of June after bringing in $833 million.
The Associated Press reports the Nevada Gaming Control Board officials say Clark County winnings were down almost 8%. Las Vegas Strip casinos report a nearly 5% year-over-year drop in revenue after bringing in $484 million. Downtown Las Vegas brought in $34 million, for a 13% drop.
Washoe County casinos had a much better month. Reno brought in $50 million, more than 9% up from the same time last year, while the county overall saw a 7% jump in winnings.
South Lake Tahoe revenue of $17 million was up 17%.
The state of Nevada collected $38 million in taxes on the June revenue, which is 27% down from last year.
