Deputies Arrest Man on Lewdness, Sexual Assault Charges

Washoe County Deputies have arrested a man they say committed lewd acts with an underage relative over the past five years.

Deputies were dispatched to an undisclosed home in the Hidden Valley area late Monday night. Detectives say the victim, a 13-year-old girl, told them she'd been inappropriately touched by a relative over the course of five years. They say she then identified that relative as 64-year-old Ronald Wenker.

Deputies arrested Wenker on Tuesday morning. He's currently being held without bail at the Washoe County Jail.

Wenker is charged with two felony counts of sexual assault with a child under the age of 14, and two felony counts of lewdness with a child under the age of 14.
