Area Sex Offender Check Nets 4 Arrests

Four arrests and a number of seizures were made this weekend following a sex offender check.

Parole and Probation officers spent the weekend conducting surveillance and making contact with 135 area sex offenders.

In the end -- four parole, probation and lifetime supervision violation arrests were made and alcohol, marijuana and pornography were confiscated.

Officers hope efforts like this will increase public safety.
