Washoe County bonds are still a good investment according to Standard & Poor's and Moody's Investors Services.
The companies have given the county a "AA" and "Aa2" rating - their second highest.
The county has maintained that rating since 2009.
Washoe County's manager says county commissioners are committed to keeping a fiscally responsible budget.
The reaffirmed ratings mean the county can now refinance existing debt at lower interest rates, saving taxpayers money.
