Deputies with the Washoe County Sheriff's Office have several people behind bars for allegedly burglarizing a "bait vehicle."
On Thursday, deputies parked the bait vehicle at the Michael D. Thompson Trailhead, near Skyline Boulevard in west Reno.
Around 1 p.m., a gold-colored GMC SUV pulled up and two people got out. Deputies say they broke into the bait vehicle and stole a laptop and a GPS device, then got back into the SUV. Deputies were waiting for them down the street.
They then arrested the driver, 20-year old Flor Lopez and 21-year old Nicholas Walther for stealing the items. 21-year old Maria Aguinaga was arrested for marijuana possession and violating probation.
Deputies also arrested a 17-year old boy and they believe all four suspects are responsible for more vehicle burglaries.
