Sparks Police are investigating a fatal rollover accident Sunday morning.
Police say it happened around 6 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Sparks Boulevard, just south of Pyramid Highway.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a Honda wagon rolled multiple times and a woman was ejected from the vehicle.
Police say it appears she was unable to maneuver a slight bend in the roadway and struck a median on the shoulder of the road, causing it to roll.
The woman was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center where she later died. Police are not releasing her identity at this time, but say she is a 26-year old Sparks resident.
Police say alcohol appears to be a contributing factor in the accident.
