A hydrogen-powered Toyota Prius was on display during a Rotary Club meeting Wednesday at the John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks.
H2 Technologies says hydrogen power is the wave of the future. They say the vehicles produce renewable energy and are much more efficient than gasoline-powered cars.
"The cars are actually fast, and very reliable, very few moving parts. There's no exhaust pipe. There's no catalytic converter. There's no transmission. All the things that break down in a normal car, you don't have," says Kevin Krauss.
You may remember back in May, we brought you a story about how H2 Technologies started building northern Nevada's first hydrogen fueling station in Carson City back in May.
They hope to get it all up and running by early 2013.
