Sparks firefighters are investigating what sparked a blaze at the Park Vista apartment complex on Tuesday afternoon.
The 4pm fire broke out on the balcony of one apartment and ended up damaging three other units - off of Sparks Boulevard. Four other units were affected by water and smoke damage.
Two people were transported to the hospital: one woman with breathing problems and a maintenance worker who accidentally cut his hand trying to extinguish the fire.
No one else was hurt.
All 8 apartments were occupied. Sparks Fire Marshal Bob King says everyone affected has decided to find a new place to stay.
