Some more road closures start Thursday as work along south McCarran moves forward.

RTC says the intersection of Rio Poco and south McCarran will be closed to cross traffic and left turns from 9 am to 9 pm.

It will reopen on Friday when crews pave from Rio Poco to Mira Loma Drive.

Then Saturday Mira Loma and McCarran will close to cross traffic and left turns from 7 am to 7 pm.

Drivers are urged to use alternate routes or follow the detour to make a U-turn at Longley Lane or Mira Loma Drive.

The $16-million project should be completed by October.
