Police Investigate South Reno Shooting

Police say a person was transported to the hospital after a shooting in south Reno Tuesday morning.

It happened just after 8am near the Village at Iron Blossom apartment complex at 690 East Patriot Blvd.

Witnesses tell police a man was shot several times during a drug deal. They tell us the victim is being treated in a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

Reno police say the suspect, 19-year-old Benjamin Calingaert turned himself in about an hour after the shooting.
