A man burned himself when he set his apartment on fire, causing the evacuation of the entire complex Sunday afternoon.
Police responded to the Riverwood Apartments on Kuenzli Street around 2 p.m. on the report of a domestic disturbance.
A man barricaded himself and ten minutes later, smoke poured from his apartment. Police evacuated the building, but they would not let firefighters in right away.
"We had a potential for an armed subject," said Sgt. Oliver Miller of the Reno Police Department. "With that, we kept the fire department outside until we had our suspect contained."
A woman has minor injuries. She was not hospitalized, but the suspect was. Police also found no weapons inside his apartment.
