Washoe County GOP Separates From Nevada GOP

The Washoe County Republican Party has formally separated from the Nevada Republican Party after filing paperwork with the Federal Election Commission last month.

It means the Washoe GOP is free to raise and spend money without any oversight from the state.

Washoe GOP Chairman David Buell says the move is meant to encourage people who may want to give money this election cycle, but not necessarily donate to the state party.
