Brush Fire North of Gardnerville Contained

Firefighters battled a brush fire north of Gardnerville Saturday afternoon.

Officials with Sierra Front say it happened around 2 p.m. off of Stockyard Road in the Minden area.

Officials say the 10-acre fire was quickly knocked down and crews are now monitoring the area. No structures were threatened.

They tell us the cause is under investigation.
