RSCVA May Give $75,000 More for Reno Air Races

Posted: Updated:

The Reno Air Racing Association is working on raising $1.7 million to pay for a higher insurance premium in the wake of last September's deadly crash.

Well, it may be getting a little more help from the Reno Sparks Convention and Visitor's Authority.

Friday, the RSCVA's finance committee voted to give the Air Racing Association $75,000 from its general budget to help pay for the premium.

The RSCVA's board will vote on the proposal on July 26th.

Earlier this year the RSCVA voted to give the Air Racing Association $75,000 from its special events fund because of the additional hurdles its facing putting on the event this year.
