Reno police have identified the victim killed in a hit-and-run accident this back on July 7th.

Police say 44-year-old Eric Thomas was hit while riding his moped near the intersection of north McCarran Boulevard and Northtowne Lane.

Both Thomas and the moped were dragged for several hundred feet. He passed away the next day.

His family has set up a bank account to help his widow and three children ages 12, 14 and 17. It's available at any area Bank of America branch. Just ask for Stacey Thomas' account at #501012985272.

Reno police still need help finding the vehicle and driver involved.

The vehicle is described as a 2003 gray Toyota 4-Runner with the Nevada license plate 461-NLE with the vin number: JTEBU14R530005562.

Police say it has front end damage and was last seen driving west on McCarran towards U.S. Highway 395.

Police say the vehicle is registered to Candido Aniceto-Trejo (see pictured) who they say is a person of interest in this case.

If you know anything, call the Reno Police Traffic Unit at 334-2141 or call Secret Witness at 322-4900 or text your tip to 847411. Your call will remain anonymous.
